It helps business analysts and managers who are involved in an agile data warehouse project based on Data Vault 2.0 to understand the principles of the project and the decisions made. This class generally helps to increase the management support of Data Vault 2.0 projects by explaining concepts as managed self-service BI, agile delivery of functionality and agile requirements management.
- Basic Data Vault 2.0 Modeling
This class is an introductory course, meant to help the team get started in Data Vault 2.0 Data Modeling. It covers the basics of what a Data Vault 2.0 model is, how it functions, and contains a hands-on case for practitioners with the ideas and concepts.
- Data Vault 2.0 Boot Camp
The class takes you through the why / what / how of Data Vault 2.0. It includes the coverage of the business justifications, following with the technical descriptions of all the pillars of Data Vault 2.0: architecture, implementation, methodology, and modeling components. The course provides ETL design paradigms, working templates (both conceptual and SQL) and best practices for successful Data Vault 2.0 implementation.
- NoSQL Enterprise Data Warehousing
This class is all about processing documents and binary data using NoSQL environments such as Hadoop and document databases, such as MongoDB. It provides practical answers and implementation patterns for data and document integration, in an environment with unstructured and semi-structured data.
- Data Vault 2.0 Anti-Patterns
This class discusses several, yet often used, anti-patterns and shows what can go wrong when using them. It discusses actual cases from our consulting experience, shows how to identify this issue, the (negative) impact of the pattern and how to resolve it. A great opportunity to learn from other’s failures.
The following package is especially recommended for larger companies (training courses build on each other, more hands-on sessions):
- Introduction to Data Vault 2.0
- Data Vault 2.0 – Advanced Modeling Class
- Data Vault 2.0 Developer Boot Camp
